About:

  • The CURRENT LADY is a state-of-the-art custom charter vessel built in 2019 by BayWeld Boats in Homer Alaska. She is 38’ x 14’ with a full walk-around fishing deck. She is equipped with Triple Yamaha 425 hp Outboards (that’s over 1200 hp) along with the Yamaha Helm Master, a fully integrated boat control system using GPS and other state-of-the-art technology to increase efficiency and boat control.

  • In addition, the CURRENT LADY has a Seakeeper Gyro Stabilization System which reduces chance of motion sickness and the fatigue of fishing in rough waters. The CURRENT LADY is a USCG inspected vessel with USCG approved life jackets, 20-man life raft, Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon, Flare Kit, Fire Extinguishers, Escape Hatch, and First Aid Kit. The enclosed heated cabin, comfortable seating, private restroom with hot water, and coffee maker for an enjoyable day. Our Rods and Reels are top-quality and set-up for the fishing depths of Cook Inlet in the Gulf of Alaska.

  • We have very experienced knowledgeable Captains and a well-trained crew to ensure you have an enjoyable successful day. We target Halibut, Salmon and Rockfish, and may catch Lingcod or other species. Whatever your Alaska fishing dream might be, we will work very hard to give you that memorable experience!

More Information

  • Halibut trips we book 10 clients max, and Salmon trips we book 8 clients max. We do require a minimum of 4 to go out.

  • Please contact us for parties larger than 10.

  • With our pre-approval and discretion, we can take up to a total of 14 Fishermen with a cost of $300 each additional Fisherman over limit (8 or 10), depending on trip. We can also accommodate ride-a-longs (non-fishermen) for a charge of $150/person, max up to 2/trip.

Please call for approval regarding any of the above. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

  • A $25 per person per day fuel surcharge may be applied.

What to bring:

  • State of Alaska Fishing License. The link to obtain this license will be sent to you in your confirmation notes. It is your responsibility to purchase the correct license. A Salmon Stamp may also be required. A visible Copy of your License must be available to the Captain, either on your phone or preferably as a printed copy.
  • Waterproof rubber-soled footwear (leather soled shoes and cowboy boots have VERY poor traction on a wet deck)
  • Warm, layered clothing, Rain gear
  • Sunscreen, Sunglasses and Hat
  • Lunch, snacks, drinks for a 8–12-hour trip
