You’ll meet at our base in Lechlade to be issued your equipment and receive your safety brief, before being transported in our minibus to Castle Eaton where you will self launch. You will then paddle downstream back to our base at Lechlade taking in the tranquillity of the river.
This trip is the most adventurous of our trips, there are no motorised traffic or locks, however, there are a few overhanging trees and challenging sections to navigate. It’s hard to believe this is the same River Thames that we all know, as it is narrow, bendy and totally rural.
Water and snacks are a must as you are quite isolated. The river is flat but care must be taken with low trees and branches.
You will be met and assisted off the River back at our pontoon next to the stone bridge at Lechlade.
