On this four-day loop through Ba Be National Park you trade highways for muddy trails, meet stilt-house communities, and crawl into a river cave whose passages have kept their own clock for millions of years.

The cave involves narrow passages, pools and uneven rock; guided teams provide helmets and lights, but participants should be comfortable crawling and wading for several hours.
