We drive out to Mt Irvine and head off on a track that meanders through closed forest to the largest tessellated rock platform in the Blue Mountains. We spend some time here exploring then follow a more open ridge between two major canyon systems, mostly off-track. The route stretches out into the wilderness. A gourmet lunch is taken on a rock platform with amazing views of the canyons. Beautiful views and wildflowers, mysterious geological formations and more!.
