About This Adventure

Experience an unforgettable overnight camping adventure on the scenic Madawaska River. Nestled among ancient pines, our campground offers tent and trailer spots, firepits, and a welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy swimming, fishing, and paddling in both flatwater and whitewater, making it a perfect getaway for nature lovers and families alike.

Overnight Camping On The Madawaska River - Open to paddlers and the public!

Camp at our beautiful waterfront facility on the banks of the Madawaska River With plenty of designated tent and trailer spots, our campground is designed to accommodate many people dispersed through our old growth pines.

If you arrive when the office is closed, please visit the bulletin board for your site location and make yourself at home - check in will happen the following morning. Our campsite has firepits dispersed throughout and firewood available by donation - suggested minimum donation of $5 in the red box by the bulletin board.

  • Tent camping $24/person/night
  • Families (3 or more): $56.50/night
  • Group Rates Available (5 or more): $20.50/person/night
  • Trailer $67/night; 15A hydro access, no sewage disposal
  • River access to flatwater and whitewater below Palmer Rapids
  • Swimming off the Paddler Co-op dock
  • Covered outdoor kitchen area with lighting
  • Individual fire pits at most tent sites
  • Picnic tables
  • Clean & well-lit outhouses
  • Access to electrical outlets outside buildings
  • Indoor teaching facility; complete with tables, benches & whiteboards (closed for now)
  • Pickerel, bass, lake trout fishing
  • Friendly pets welcome on leash & if cleaned up after
  • Unattended, unleashed & unfriendly pets not welcome
  • We do not have shower facilities

Reserve Early

Campground spots fill quickly during peak season—booking ahead ensures your preferred site.

Bring Cash for Firewood Donations

Firewood is available by donation; a minimum $5 suggested to support campground upkeep.

Practice Leave No Trace

Pack out all trash and minimize fire impact to preserve the forest ecosystem surrounding the campground.

Prepare for Variable Weather

Ontario's weather can change rapidly—layered clothing and waterproof gear are recommended.
