Set in the heart of Nottingham’s vibrant city centre, Debbie Bryan’s Teen’s Personalised Pencil Case Crafternoon offers a fresh, hands-on experience blending creativity with relaxed social vibes for 13-17-year-olds. Unlike traditional outdoor adventures, this workshop channels energy into crafting—inviting teens to design and stitch their own canvas pencil cases using a mix of fabric pens, embroidery threads, beads, and illustrative guides. Located on St Peter’s Gate, this urban creative hub provides an engaging indoor activity that complements Nottingham’s rich cultural backdrop, where historic architecture meets a youth-driven art scene.
Nottingham itself is renowned for its distinctive sandstone cliffs along the city’s caves and the legacy of Robin Hood lore woven into the streets and forests nearby. While outdoor explorers often head toward Sherwood Forest, Debbie Bryan’s workshop offers a different kind of adventure—a creative journey that emphasizes personal expression and fine motor skill development within a social setting. The workshop space provides a calm, supportive environment ideal for teens to unwind while making something meaningful.
The practical side of the Crafternoon includes expert tips from the Debbie Bryan team, plenty of materials, and the option to pair the session with a thoughtfully curated afternoon tea featuring gluten-conscious and vegan-friendly choices. This adds a local culinary touch and extends the session to two and a half hours, creating a relaxed pace for crafting and conversation.
This workshop stands out as a unique entrant in Nottingham’s mix of youth activities, offering a blend of artistry and social engagement not often found in the outdoor-dominant adventure spectrum. For families seeking an indoor, creative alternative within a city known for outdoor history and natural beauty, Debbie Bryan’s Pencil Case Crafternoon fits perfectly, blending craft, culture, and community in a single memorable experience.
