TASTER TREK - walk with your own llama on a lead, with a tour guide, around our local river. We meet at the Kaikoura Llama Trekking site, then drive 2km to the start of the trek. Your Llama Trek includes walking along the riverbank and in the riverbed, surrounded by native birds, and through protected native woodland.
Expect uneven terrain near riverbanks and forest trails—supportive hiking shoes will keep you comfortable.
Although the trek lasts 1.5 hours, carrying water and a light snack ensures you stay energized and hydrated.
