Welcome to the ideal course for curry lovers.
A full-day course of wonderful flavours and spices.
Learn the important flavour combinations and how to use spices to make a delicious curry, before sitting down to enjoy what you have made. Hari will guide you through some authentic and delicious Indian dishes as well as offer a spice masterclass after lunch explaining important spices and how they can be used to create the wonderful flavours we all know and love in Indian cuisine.
Throughout the day you will learn classic techniques used in Indian cooking and how to create some delicious authentic Indian food, that you then get to eat for lunch and take home to share with family.
Immerse yourself in a day full of flavour, colour and spice.
Learn how to make: • Samosa • Traditional Curry (can be any of the following - Chicken Tikka Masala, Malabar Prawn Curry, Korma, Dansak, Bhuna, Butter Chicken) • Authentic Dahl • Nann or Roti • Bhapa Doi - traditional Indian Dessert
• Work with local fresh produce • No weighing up or washing up • Eat what you cook during the session
• Tea and coffee • Ingredients and equipment • Takeaway containers to take home any leftovers (if there are any)
• Soft drinks and alcohol
This is an adult only lesson and is not suitable for under 18 years.
Only paid guests actively participating in a cookery lesson are permitted to be at the cookery school whilst classes are in progress. We cannot accommodate spectators or provide a waiting area for friends or family.
There is free parking on site.
Our course menus are best suited for flexible, adventurous eaters and most strongly focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Please ensure to have carefully read the dietary-specific information for the event you have booked tickets for also that any allergies/dietary requirements have been entered at the time of booking.
Due to the nature of our events and to uphold high-quality standards, we are only able to accommodate limited dietary requests on most cookery courses. If you are unsure or have any questions regarding this please contact us in advance.
You don’t need to bring anything with you, everything is provided.
Our courses are designed to be social and interactive. We work in pairs on each course. This allows us to cook more in the session so if joining us alone you will be paired with another foodie on the course.
Drinks are available with a simple tab system just order and pay at the end of the session. If you would like anything from our shop please just let one of us know at any time and we can put the items aside for you.
If for any reason you need to change your booking we have a rebooking fee of £20 per person if alternations are made within 7 days of the course taking place.
Please wear suitable flat shoes, we also recommend that you wear sensible clothing; we are not liable for any damage to clothing or personal belongings.
You'll be standing for much of the six-hour session; supportive shoes keep you steady and comfortable.
Check allergy guidance carefully, as the course uses potent spices and has limited dietary accommodations.
Arriving promptly helps you get the most from the spice masterclass and hands-on cooking segments.
While takeaway containers are provided, bringing your own can help pack your fresh cooked meals for later.
