Kansas City’s brewing scene grew from 19th-century German immigrant breweries; Prohibition shuttered many, but a late-20th-century craft revival — highlighted by breweries like Boulevard — rebuilt the city’s beer identity.
Many local breweries emphasize recycling, spent-grain reuse, and water-conscious operations; practice responsible drinking and utilize provided recycling bins to reduce waste.
