The wind lifts you before you realize it — a soft surge that breathes life into the canopy and carries you out over red-roofed lanes toward the glittering Mediterranean. From Yassı Tepe Hill, about 700 meters above sea level, the city of Alanya unfurls: the crenelated silhouette of Alanya Castle, the crescent of Cleopatra Beach, and the turquoise coast receding into the distance.

Alanya’s coastal position made it a strategic fortress during Byzantine and Seljuk periods; Cleopatra Beach’s name comes from a local legend that the Egyptian queen once swam here.
Respect beach habitats on landing—avoid trampling dunes and dispose of waste; local operators follow safety and environmental guidelines to minimize impact.
