Being located in Shepperton Marina we have many miles of wildlife rich river right on our doorstep to enjoy, and quite a few pubs! There's no better way to relive the stress of the modern world.
We specialise in independent hire which is where you pay to hire an open canoe and then embark on your own mini adventure. This open canoe hire is unguided and you are free to go wherever you like, although we do have some recommended routes.
Bring clothes you don’t mind getting damp that are suitable for the weather conditions. Even in the summer it is advisable to bring a lightweight windproof top in case you get a breeze out on the water. Bring a picnic and a camera! A little waterproof bag is a good idea. We have some for purchase in the shop if you don’t have any.
Please don't wear jeans or wellington boots, if you fall in to the river both these items of clothing hold a lot of water and make swimming and floating very hard.
If you are 18 or over, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer before you go on the water, if you are under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult.
Avoid jeans and heavy boots; opt for lightweight, water-friendly clothes to stay comfortable if you get wet.
Protect your phone, camera, and snacks with a waterproof bag to keep essentials dry during your paddle.
Wind and rain can make paddling more challenging; plan your trip on calm, dry days for the best experience.
Keep noise low, respect wildlife habitats, and be cautious when passing anglers or other river users.
