You step off the trail into a pocket of humid air where limestone walls rise like weathered ramparts and springs leak cold into a slow, green river. Guides clip on helmets and life jackets, tell a short history of the place, and the group eases into the current: the river takes over, carrying you through cave mouths, past cliff faces streaked with mineral veins, and into pools that invite a long, cool float.
