About This Adventure
Led by Lex Salisbury, president and CEO of Giraffe Ranch.
Join Lex on his daily rounds of the preserve in a Tesla Cybertruck. Enjoy an up close and personal experience as you help us tend to the needs of the 600+/- animals in our care on the 47 acre preserve. Learn about how Giraffe Ranch (and sister ranch Safari Wilderness) have become the pinnacle of Lex's life-long focus on species conservation.
Lex was born and raised in Alaska, has a Master degree in Environmental Sciences, taught Animal Behavior at University and has worked in zoos in Australia, The UK and Florida, with a total of 45 years professional experience.
Lex will drive you through the ranch in an electric 4WD Cybertruck and you will stop to safely feed and learn about Giraffe, Cheetah, primates, tapirs, pygmy hippos, bongos, cassowary, zebras, deer and antelope. You will also learn how the ranch produces almost all of it's own electricity for its operation through solar power.
The experience is 2-2.5 hours and is informal but will allow you to gain insight into the inner workings of a complex nature preserve with a loving collection.
