You step off the air-conditioned minibus into a cool ribbon of rainforest sunlight—palm trunks crowd the boardwalk, and the canopy parts to reveal a distant ridge. The day moves at a practical, family-friendly pace: a short wildlife stop to watch kangaroos graze at Coombabah, a one-hour walk along the Rainforest Skywalk where ferns brush your knees, a long lunch break on Eagle Heights Art Street, and an evening descent into the dim, luminous hush of a glow worm cave.

Yes—tours are family-friendly, but children must remain quiet and still; strollers aren’t suitable inside the cave, so a carrier is recommended for infants.

Wildlife sightings are common, especially at Coombabah reserve, but they’re not guaranteed; early morning or sheltered areas increase chances of sightings.
