You start on a dusty backroad just outside Tamarindo, the engine rumbling beneath you as the forest leans away and the Pacific waits ahead. The guide runs through controls, you tap the throttle on a practice loop, then peel out toward rivers, dry gullies and the open coast. Later, salt wind replaces dust as you climb onto a Yamaha jet ski and cut north toward Flamingo and Las Catalinas, the shoreline unfolding in clean, blue lines.
