You feel the Alpine air first — cool, mineral and sharp — as the panoramic Sprinter Cabrio pulls out of Bern and the lowlands fall away. Windows up at first, then down; the roof opens and suddenly the road, the lakes, and the ridgelines move overhead. The convoy threads past postcard villages and glittering water, the Cabrio’s open top inviting the elements into the cabin.

Suitable for most fitness levels; requires walking on short uneven trails at the summit

Yes — the itinerary notes stroller access and infant seats; however some summit paths have uneven surfaces so a carrier may be easier.
Walking is light to moderate: short paved or rocky loops and viewpoints totaling 20–60 minutes depending on how far you explore.
The Cabrio gondola operates under normal conditions; severe storms or extreme winds can close alpine installations — operators will advise and reschedule or refund per policy.
The Stanserhorn route features an 1893-era funicular and the modern Cabrio gondola, one of the first open‑top cable cars designed for panoramic sightseeing.
Alpine grasslands around Stanserhorn are sensitive; stick to trails, carry out waste, and avoid disturbing marmots and nesting birds.
