Wrightsville Beach, NC's Girls-Only summertime surf camp! For girls ages 9-16 years old! Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:00am-10:30am every week of the summer! Each camp has a capacity of 10 students total! This camp is great for beginners all the way up to advanced surfers.
FYI: 'Wahine' translates to something like 'little surfer girl' in Hawaiian.
Our camp's strength is highly personalized, fun, and effective surf instruction catered to your child's particular skill development set. We'd like to see them showing us all the work and know-how of surfing well on their own by the end of the camp! Your kids will come out of this camp absolutely stoked on surfing! But don't take it from us, just ask around!
Our CPR and First Aid Certified instructors will teaching your Wahines to surf and/or improve their surfing the majority of each day's 2.5 hrs. All while learning about safety in the sea! We also have a ton of other fun beach activities we do when the surf isn't cooperating and/or the kids are getting tired. If this is the case, we'll be bodysurfing, learning how to use handplanes, riding surf mats in the shorebreak, as well as doing some light relays to improve the kids' paddling, swimming, breath holding ability and overall safety in the ocean.
We also run the Grommets Camp for boys ages 9-16 years old 8:00am-10:30am just down the beach!
These are Wrightsville Beach, NC's finest summertime surf camps!
