Pick up a Surfboard and wetsuit at Northerly Swell and get out there and catch some waves at some of the local surfing spots we have on offer right on our doorstep, whether its the famous local surf beach at Tynemouth Longsands, or the beautiful Seaton Sluice beach just a couple of miles to our north, if you want to travel a little further north you have the easy accessible Blyth beach. We also have custom hire boards available on request.

Wetsuit can be provided for an extra charge of 5 to 10 GBP per person.

Important to Know

Adults over 18 years old can rent our surfboards. Anyone aged under-18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when on the water. Proof of ID is required when renting our equipment, this can be any government issued photo ID. No experience is necessary, however, you will be asked to state your experience level when signing the disclaimer.

We recommend that a full length wetsuit should be worn when renting surfboards - this can be your own or it can be rented alongside the equipment. Whilst surfing the leash must also be worn at all times.

We will only allow the rental of equipment if the conditions are suitable. We reserve the right to stop rentals at any time without notice due to unsuitable sea conditions, changing weather forecasts, safety concerns or any other circumstances beyond our control.
