About This Adventure

Experience the thrill of standup paddling with expert coaching from Hans Hedemann Surf. In this 2-hour lesson, you'll learn essential techniques on land before hitting the water. Choose from various lesson formats for a tailored experience, all while enjoying a fun workout in the beautiful ocean.

Our instructors will teach you how to master the balancing act of standup paddling—an excellent core and cardio workout requiring minimal skill.

What to expect: In our two-hour sessions, you’ll learn multiple techniques on how to hold the paddle, turn and paddle forward and backward. You’ll be ready to paddle on your own in no time!

Group Lesson One of the most popular lessons that Hans Hedemann Surf School offers is the standup paddle lessons. Standup paddle surfing is great for building your core muscles and cardio. Learn all the basics of standup paddling with our group lesson. (Rashguard and surfboard rental is included in the price) * Please note that a minimum of two people are required for your reservation. Must be 14 years or older for group lesson.

Semi-Private Lesson This lesson is perfect for couples, family, or friends that want to learn standup paddling together. (Rashguard and surfboard rental is included in the price)

Private Lesson If you want to start catching waves on a paddleboard, this lesson is for you. The private standup paddleboard lesson is recommended for children younger than 14, intermediate to advanced standup paddlers, and anyone who wants the extra attention. You’ll get customized coaching from our experienced surfer, lifeguard and standup paddle instructor.

What to bring: Swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. (Rashguard and paddleboard rentals are FREE with lesson.)
