A complete introduction to Stand-up Paddle Boarding

Please note that we require a minimum of two people to run this session. If you are only booking for one person, the booking system will only allow you to join a session with active bookings. If you can't find a session to join, you can either book a bespoke 121 session or email us at info@southwestsup.co.uk, and we will be happy to help.

About

We will introduce you to the essentials of Stand-Up Paddle Boarding including equipment, safety, and technique.

We will select the best possible location for the session, get you standing and coach you on the correct paddling techniques. The session will also include lots of SUP skills, races and games to keep everyone entertained. If conditions allow, the session may include a short coastal journey to explore the stunning surroundings of Firestone Bay and the Royal William Yard.

We can cater for a wide range of experience and ability so this session is perfect for all the family.

What to bring

Please arrive ready to get on the water or with a swimming costume on, ready to get into your wetsuit. Wetsuits are provided at no extra cost but changing space is limited. Don't forget to bring a towel, sunscreen and water.

Requirements

Good general physical fitness and confident swimmer. The minimum age is 7 (under 13's must be accompanied by an adult on the session)
