About This Adventure

Give your child the opportunity to build confidence, balance, and a love for the water with our SUP CUB Kid Lessons! This exciting and engaging paddle boarding lesson teaches essential water safety, paddling techniques, and board control—all in a fun, supportive, and instructive environment.

With a focus on teamwork, coordination, and outdoor adventure, kids will gain valuable skills while developing strength, focus, and respect for the ocean. Whether they’re first-time paddlers or looking to improve, our lessons provide a safe space for them to learn, play, and explore on the water.

Ages 6 - 17 Group Size: Up to 6 kids per lesson What They’ll Learn: Water safety, paddle strokes, balance techniques, and playful SUP games Benefits: Builds confidence, coordination, and a lifelong love for watersports Equipment Provided: Paddleboard, paddle, leash, life jacket No Experience Needed—Just a Willingness to Have Fun!

Life Jackets:

All kids 12 years and under must wear a coast guard approved PFD that is provided, kids 13 - 17 years old it is the parents choice. The kids who do not know how to swim have to wear it. If the child is approved to not wear the life jacket they will be provided with a waist PFD securely fastened around their waist.


Location

In beautiful Liberty Station, San Diego behind the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. We are partnered with West Coast Paddle Sports that provides the paddle board rentals. Together we paddle down a very calm channel way that leads into a dead end where a private military dock is. The waterway is a no-wake zone for boaters and barely has boat traffic. We depart from a sandy beach but please be careful of the surrounding rocks and sharp oyster shells.

Your Instructor will take them of you while out on the water and after the lesson will airdrop directly or sent end day in link for android.

What to Bring

  • Sunscreen
  • Towel and/or change of clothes in case
  • Please wear athletic clothes or bathing suit
  • You can wear water shoes if you want, but we love paddling barefoot and highly suggest it.

Ensure every child wears a properly fitted life jacket for safety on the water.

Arrive Early for Orientation

Getting to the location early helps children get comfortable and understand safety rules before starting.

Apply Waterproof Sunscreen

Bring a Change of Clothes

Kids might get wet, so having extra clothes and a towel handy is helpful after the session.
