You step off the gondola into thin, cool air and the world widens: alpine bowls sweep away under a ring of jagged peaks, wildflowers carpet the ridges, and a clear line of the Continental Divide stitches the horizon. The trail moves across gentle meadows and moraine ridges, each turn opening a new viewpoint—lakes like dark glass tucked into cirques, larch pockets that flare gold in autumn, and marmots that chatter at the trail’s edge.

The route is rated easy; it’s non-technical but covers 12 km and ~300 m gain at 2,220 m—beginners who can walk 3–4 hours should manage with steady pacing.
Guiding, a gondola or shuttle ticket, boxed lunch, bottled water or soft drink, and hotel pickup/drop-off from selected Banff hotels are included.
