Late afternoon light slides across broad ripples of rose-colored sand as UTVs line up at the park's edge—motors humming, tires hungry for slope and crest. The Coral Pink dunes push and yield under the machines, and by the time you crest the final ridge the sun drops low, throwing the park into sharp relief and the cliffs beyond into slow-burning color.
