About

Although we are in the middle of winter here at Chena Hot Springs, there is still hope to see the sun! Take one of our Sunset Snow Coach Tours to the top of our nearby Charlie Dome for an unforgettable experience. The vehicle that transports you is a military grade SUSV; so much fun right?

Departure times vary due to time of sunset. Check with Activity Center Staff for daily departure time.

Itinerary

  • Check-in one hour before sunset, departure is 45 minutes before sunset and return is 15 minutes after sunset.
  • To get to and from the top of Charlie Dome (the mountain where we will wait for the sunset) you will be transported in a SUSV and it takes approximately 30 minutes to get there.
  • The total tour time is 1.5 hours with transportation and sunset admiration.

Note

We do not guarantee the sunset but do guarantee a cold temperatures while up in the mountain. Please bring warm clothes or ask for our parkas, over pants or winter boots.
