Late afternoon light slices across wind-sculpted ridges as quad tires kick up a fine ochre spray — the desert sets its own tempo and the guide matches it. Participants leave El Gouna in an air-conditioned minivan, briefed at the motor park, then head 20–30 minutes into the eastern desert for a 40 km round-trip circuit through Wadi Billy, the so-called Dry Canyon.

The tour may be canceled for bad weather; the operator’s policy allows cancellations for unsafe conditions and provides refunds if canceled within their stated window.
Wadi Billy was submerged by the ancient Red Sea; exposed marine fossils in canyon walls record that geological past.
Stay on designated tracks, avoid collecting fossils and pack out all waste — vehicle traffic can accelerate erosion if not managed.
