The St. Lawrence leans into evening light as your boat slips away from the Old Port—water catching the last orange bands while the city’s concrete and steel soften into silhouettes. On a one-hour loop you’ll skirt the river’s edge, the captain pointing out Habitat 67’s cubic profile and the Biosphere’s spherical outline as La Ronde’s silhouette waits offshore. The river dares you to look up: bridges glow, clock towers keep time, and islands cast long shadows.

The Old Port and St. Lawrence River were central to Montreal’s growth—serving as a key trading and transit corridor since the city’s early settlement; Expo 67 left modernist landmarks visible from the water.
Operators encourage a carry-in, carry-out policy and follow local guidelines to minimize disturbance to shoreline habitats; avoid dropping litter or single-use plastics in the river.
