The wicker basket lifts and the valley exhales beneath you. From the south the serrated teeth of the High Tatras push through morning mist; to the west the rolling Pieniny cliffs and the blue of Lake Czorsztyńskie unfurl like a map. The balloon skirts ridgelines, the air cool and direct, and the whole landscape seems to lean in to watch.
