Professional Photography Guidelines

A professional photography session is defined as any session where the photographer is poised to profit from the photography shoot, or uses professional equipment (beyond a camera) such as tripods, screens, light meters etc.

a) Any professional or amateur photographer is always welcome to take pictures during PYO sunflower hours if they pay general admission ($10 per person) and do not bring any extra equipment beyond a camera / lens or require any exclusivity. This would apply to their groups / clients as well.

b) Any professional or amateur photographer who will be bringing in equipment and requires exclusivity must pay the $50 site fee and reserve a slot during scheduled "off-hours". The evening “after hours” sessions for professional photographers are scheduled for when the fields are empty and lighting conditions tend to be optimal. These sessions will take place from 6PM – 7:30PM on select nights. Photographers may arrive to set up at 6 PM and can shoot until 7:30PM while the fields are in bloom.

Session information is below:

  1. In the event of inclement weather on the day of your scheduled session, we will work with you to reschedule for an alternative date.
  2. Location fee: $50 per 90 minute professional photographer session
  3. We kindly request that any published or publicly posted photographs give location credit to Verrill Farm, Concord, MA whenever possible.
