Sunday Fun Day in Houston is a 24-hour open-air escape behind the wheel of a 2026 Polaris Slingshot, launching from Houston, Texas. For $250 plus taxes and fees, this rental hands you the keys on a Sunday morning and gives you unlimited miles to carve your own route through the city and its surrounding backroads. There’s no guide, no set itinerary—just two seats, the hum of that three-wheeled engine, and a day to turn into whatever feels like a celebration.
Pickups are offered Sundays from October 11 through December 27, 2026, with hourly windows between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Drivers must be 21 or older and carry a valid driver’s license; a refundable $150 security deposit is collected at pickup. The Slingshot is an automatic-or-manual machine depending on availability, so check in advance if a preferred transmission matters. The vehicle’s low-slung, open cockpit insists you dress for wind and sun, and the rental is not wheelchair accessible.
This experience lives at the intersection of urban cruising and spontaneous day trips. Spend the morning threading leafy neighborhood boulevards, take a midday detour to a favorite brunch stop, and finish after sunset chasing skyline viewpoints or low-traffic service roads that shed the city’s bustle. Unique to this offering is the combination of a high-design three-wheeler and unlimited miles—most short-term rentals gate you with tight mileage limits; this one encourages exploration.
Why this business stands out locally is simple: it makes a rare vehicle type available for true daylong freedom. For locals craving a special-occasion drive, or visitors wanting a memorable way to sample the region’s contrasts—residential streets, bayou edges, and industrial skyline—this rental turns transport into the point of the trip. It’s ideal for couples, anniversaries, birthdays, or anyone who values the choreography of road, noise, and open air.
Practical notes: fill up the tank before long stretches, bring secure storage for phones and wallets, and plan pickup and return to the same time slot. Weather can change the vibe—clear, mild days are perfect for the open cockpit; heavy rain or strong winds will blunt the thrill. If you want future offers, sign up for the operator’s Sunday Funday alert list. This is a simple, liberating way to spend a Sunday in Houston: equal parts machine, map, and mood.
Book early for holiday Sundays and confirm transmission availability at checkout. Insurance coverage varies; ask the operator whether your personal auto policy or a supplied waiver covers damage. Night driving amplifies the urban character—bring reflective clothing if you plan to stop roadside—and stow valuables out of sight when parked. Couples often build a loop that mixes quiet residential turns with a short coastal or prairie side excursion outside Houston for open views.
