A limestone monolith rises from the Mediterranean like a held breath — the Peñón de Ifach crowns Calpe’s waterfront and dares you to climb. Begin at the car park where the sea hisses against the rock; the trail threads through low scrub, then narrows into concrete steps and exposed ramps that push you upward toward the 332‑meter summit. From the ridge the coast fans out: Sierra Helada to the south, the mouth of the Valencian plain to the north, and even the Balearics on very clear days.
