Stumpjumper EVO Comp Alloy Rental — Mountain Biking Lake Crackenback & Thredbo Trails

Settle into a dialed-in trail bike built to rip the alpine ridgelines between Lake Crackenback and Thredbo. The Stumpjumper EVO Comp Alloy — offered for hire from Harro's Snowsports 1650 Alpine way Crackenback nsw 2627 — pairs 150mm of tuned travel with adjustable geometry so you can point low and fast on the steep, technical runs popular in the Snowy Mountains. This is a rental meant for riders who want to push beyond beginner singletrack: bomber alloy wheels, SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed shifting, and Fox FLOAT Performance suspension bring durable control on rock, root and loam. Launch: pickups and check-in are simple. Arrive 10 minutes early to arrange bikes and helmets; every rental includes a premium helmet and a water-bottle holder so you roll out ready. There are 2 daily bike shuttle runs from Lake Crackenback to Thredbo (9:30am & 2:30pm) for $20pp — a useful option for maximizing downhill laps without killing your legs. The riding around Crackenback is defined by compact alpine forests of snow gum and sparse subalpine heath, steep valley descents, and the occasional exposed slab of ancient granite. Trails range from flowy machine-built singletrack to technical couloirs that reward confident riders who can manage speed and line choice. Expect punchy climbs, fast berms, and rocky steps where the EVO’s adjustable headtube angle and 150mm travel prove their worth. Why this rental stands out locally: Harro's Snowsports supplies a bike that narrows the gap between trail and enduro rigs with a tough M5 Alloy chassis and SWAT™ Door storage—practical for tools and snacks on long loops. The size range offered here is focused: this listing covers Extra Large frames (height range 178–195cm), so measure up before you book. Timing and terrain matter. Summer offers dry, dusty grip but increased trail erosion risk; spring brings wildflowers and soft ground; early winter road access can be tricky but rewards riders with crisp air and clearer vistas. The Stumpjumper’s suspension tuning and robust wheels make it a reliable partner year-round when trails are open. Harro's location at the edge of Kosciuszko National Park places you minutes from classic lines and multi-hour valley circuits. Respect park rules, stick to designated tracks, and carry a basic repair kit—riding here feels primal, but the landscape is fragile. Whether you’re chasing lap speed, testing your limits on technical descents, or simply exploring alpine ridgelines, the Stumpjumper EVO Comp Alloy opens a practical, high-performance window into Snowy Mountains riding. Book through the Harro's Snowsports desk or the provided fareharbor link to select a 2-hour, 4-hour or full-day hire, and confirm the Extra Large sizing and shuttle seats in advance; cancellations with 24 hours notice qualify for a full refund or credit for peace of mind.
