About This Adventure

Embark on a captivating 5-hour hike through the stunning gorge of Stropones village, culminating in a refreshing swim at the breathtaking Chiliadou beach. This medium-level adventure offers picturesque views of the Aegean Sea, a delightful bakery stop, and the chance to connect with nature, making it an unforgettable experience.

Duration: 5 Hours

Magnificent scenery along the gorge of Stropones village will end up in a dip in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea. The hike is graded a medium level making ideal for a big majority of adventure enthusiasts.
The end of the trails leads us to a dirt road just next to the river on a nice walk amongst huge plain trees. Our final destination is the beautiful beach of Chiliadou, with an amazing view of the wild Aegean sea. Summer hikes will end with a nice swim in clear blue water.

Itinerary

  • 07:35 – Pickup from Evia Riviera Resort

  • 07:45 – Pickup from Porto Evia Boutique Hotel

  • 08:00 – Pickup from Eretria port

  • 08:15 – Pickup from Palmariva Hotel

  • 09:15 – Arrive at Steni, bakery stop & water fill-up

  • 09:45 – Start of the tour.

  • 14:45 – End of tour. Optional meal at Chiliadou and swimming in the Aegean Sea (Optional meal)

  • 17:30 – Return to hotel

Itinerary is proposed and can be subject to changes depending on preference, season or pickup location.

Availability

  • Shared tour runs with a minimum of 5 participants, on Saturday.
  • Your will receive confirmation if capacity for tour has been reached aprox. 10-12 Hours prior to tour start.
  • No fees will be charged if tour is cancelled.
  • Private tours can be booked upon request & availability
  • More comfortable from April to November.

No worries. We will stop at the local bakery before our tour, where you can choose from a wide selection of delicious fresh pastry. Have your own water bottles with you as we can fill them with fresh water from the spring just next to the bakery.

  • Do care to bring a lightweight windproof along for months (June, September)
  • Do care to bring a warmer shell jacket for colder months (April-May & October-November)

Though there’s a refill stop at a spring near the bakery, bring at least 1.5 liters to stay hydrated throughout the hike.

Finish the trek with a refreshing swim at Chiliadou Beach, so being prepared makes the experience smooth.

Apply sunscreen generously

The exposed trail sections require sun protection especially from April through October.
