The Hike Station Grading System: Medium - Difficult
Food & Beverages: Carrying ample drinking water is essential. There are no stores or other facilities along our trails. Fruit and energy bars are ideal for mid-way sustenance.
What to Bring: The Hike Station will provide for each person a small backpack. You should bring at least 1.5L of water per person, and snacks if you would like. Please bring your own: sun hat, sun cream, and swimwear for coastal hikes. Also ensure you bring any necessary medication or inhalers that you might require during the hike.
What to Wear: Suitable footwear, including socks (sports trainers are fine). Anyone wearing unsuitable footwear (such as flip-flops), or no socks, will not be able to hike. Ideally you should wear comfortable, quick-drying sportswear. A jacket or hoodie are recommended for sunset hikes, windy days, or rare cold days! We think black is best!
There are no water sources along the trail, so carry at least 1.5 liters per person.
Closed sports trainers with good grip and comfortable socks are necessary; flip-flops are not allowed.
Expect a sustained climb on uneven stone steps; good leg strength and balance help keep pace steady.
Bring sun cream and a hat—even on cooler days the exposed path can cause sunburn.
The stone staircase is centuries old, originally built by local farmers to connect villages and pasturelands in the rugged Serra de Tramuntana mountains.
Efforts are underway to protect the delicate ecosystems along the hike and maintain the integrity of historic stonework while promoting sustainable tourism.
Staying hydrated is critical, especially with no refills on the trail.
Supportive footwear with grip protects your feet on uneven stone steps.
