Similar to the Staples River Experience, you’re going to get to splash around on the horses bareback, get some inspiring photos, and enjoy something that photos just can’t do justice to! Hanging in the river is a very relaxing experience.
The trail excursion will also give you the opportunity to try swimming with horses. Swimming with horses is not as easy as it looks! Participants will be engaged in an activity that obviously has risks, and so we may need to curtail the swimming portion of this experience, if we have concerns about individual guest’s safety. In a group environment, we would ask that all guests understand safety is paramount first and foremost. Swimming with horses is an add-on for people who have appropriate balance and athleticism to control the horses as well as swim on their own where there is current.
The cost for this experience includes the trail plus having the horses in the swimming pool to enjoy, as similarly described in the staples river experience. Swimming with the horses is FUN but obviously comes with challenges and risks. Some people will prefer hand lead experiences, walking through deep water instead of actively swimming with the horses. Quite clearly, people who do not have strong, swimming abilities, should not be swimming with horses. Participate at your own risk. God bless Texas and chapter 87 civil practice and remedies code.
