After a scenic 1.5-hour ride, switch to a scooter or bike for a leisurely 10-kilometer return along the picturesque Elbe cycling trail. Experience nature like never before!
Schmilka, Ferry, Right river bank
You will start at the Schmilka, where you’ll be given a stand-up paddleboard, a paddle, a dry bag, and a short briefing will take place. You will learn to control the paddleboard on the calm Elbe river. Then it's time to outbound straight away through the majestic Elbe canyon with views of the surrounding sandstone rock walls. The current will enjoyably carry you for about 1,5 hours to Bad Schandau. The landing point is at the left river bank before the bridge in Bad Schandau. Then you´ll exchange the paddleboard for a scooter or bike and other equipment.
Now it’s time to get on the way back with the Elbe cycling trail to Schmilka along the river for 10 kilometers. In Schmilka the ferry brings you back to the right side of the river, where you´ll return the scooter or bike at the Bio- Nationalpark Refugium.
