If you've always wanted to get into paddle boarding but don't know where to start, this lesson is for you! After checking in, your guide will go through safety protocols and fit you with a lifejacket. You will then learn the technical terms for each part of a paddle board and paddle and how to use them. With the help of our dock staff, our guide will teach you how to get on and off of the board from the dock. Once on the water, you'll master some basic paddling techniques such as the forward, reverse, and sweep strokes! You will then practice these strokes on the river while paddling through the heart of Washington DC! Soak up the nature and the city's history while learning all the basics you'll need to glide and maneuver through the water like you've been doing it for years!
