If you have never heard of Standup Paddleboard (SUP), you are not alone. However, it is one of the fastest-growing watersports of the moment.

Stand Up Paddleboard, also known as SUP, is a type of paddleboarding. You stand on a large board and use a paddle to travel through the water. The boards come in lots of different shapes and sizes depending on what you want to do and how experienced you are.

SUP is thought to have been around since the 16th Century. It has roots in African, South American and Polynesian cultures. It might be new to a lot of people, but it has a long history, and it’s one that you can be a part of.

You can use SUP as a way to explore and travel across long distances of water. They are great for getting out into the surf so you can ride the waves. Some people even practise yoga on paddleboards. You can get inflatable paddleboards, so it’s possible to try your skills anywhere, from canals and rivers to lakes and oceans.

It’s great exercise that will work all sorts of muscles, but it’s not so intense that you will burn yourself out before you can really enjoy yourself.
