Adventure tips

Bring reef-safe sunscreenSt. Kitts emphasizes reef protection—use reef-safe sunscreen and avoid lotions that wash off before a beach stop.

Wear sturdy shoesBrimstone Hill and Romney Manor have uneven stone steps and packed dirt paths—closed-toe shoes make exploration easier.

Hydrate and pack a refillable bottleCaribbean heat and humid conditions call for regular hydration; guides often have short refill opportunities but bottles save waste.

Plan for photography stopsYou’ll want time at lookout points for views of Nevis and the dual-ocean coastline—ask your guide for an extra few minutes if the ship schedule allows.

Recommended gear

Closed-toe walking shoes: Protects feet on cobbled streets, fortress steps, and garden paths.
Reusable water bottle: Keeps you hydrated in warm, humid conditions and reduces plastic waste.
Light rain jacket or packable shell: Afternoon showers are possible—easy to stash and useful if the weather shifts.
Swimwear and quick-dry towel: If your group opts for a beach stop at Cockleshell Beach, you’ll be ready to swim or wade.
