Boat-day readiness
Expect long days on deck—bring seasickness medication, sun protection, and a waterproof bag for electronics.

A reliable dive computer makes repeated dives easier to manage and is essential for deep dive profiles.
SMB practice
Practice SMB deployment skills with your instructor; it’s taught during the course and critical for surface safety.
Trim and weighting
Work on neutral buoyancy early—small adjustments to weight and trim will pay off across wreck and reef dives.
Dive computer
Tracks depth and no-deco limits across multiple dives and is essential for safety.
Wetsuit (3–5mm or thicker)
Thermal protection for extended surface intervals and deeper, cooler dives at 30m.
