Located on Hawaii's Big Island along the vivid shoreline of Kailua-Kona, Kona Charter Desk stands out as a premier gateway for ocean adventures ranging from world-class sportfishing to unforgettable manta ray night dives. Operating out of Honokohau Harbor, this locally rooted business connects visitors with the rich marine ecosystem of the Kona coast, where deep blue waters meet volcanic slopes.
The star attractions here are the sportfishing charters targeting species that have made Kona a global angling destination—blue marlin, ahi (yellowfin tuna), and mahi-mahi. The region’s unique ocean currents create an ideal habitat for these giants, drawing experienced anglers and novices alike. Kona Charter Desk pairs guests with skilled captains and crew who bring deep regional knowledge and aloha spirit, turning every outing into a finely tuned adventure. One recent trip boasted a 204-pound marlin haul, underscoring the caliber of experience found in these waters.
Beyond fishing, the company offers manta ray night snorkel and dive charters, a rare and mesmerising encounter with graceful sea creatures that gather near underwater volcanic vents. This spectacle is part natural wonder, part adrenaline rush, entirely unique to the Kona area’s clear, warm waters.
Kona Charter Desk also features a retail shop providing sportfishing gear, locally designed apparel, and souvenirs, enhancing the visitor experience. Their dedication to customer service, local expertise, and genuine aloha elevates time spent on the water to more than a trip—it’s a connection to the island’s powerful ocean culture and stunning marine life.
