A low sun slips past the stone ramparts of Dubrovnik as a private speedboat cuts through the channel, water spraying like bright confetti. The boat pulls away from the Old Town’s harbor and the city’s limestone faces shrink; the Adriatic begins to speak in turquoise notes, inviting the group toward Koločep, Lopud and Šipan.
