Salt spray threads the air as the 43" speedboat slices away from a low wooden pier on Koh Yao Yai, the island shrinking into a green-backed horizon. Within twenty minutes the hull eases, engines quiet, and the Andaman Sea opens — walls of coral and patches of anemone waiting below. Divers step into a routine: kit checks, instructor briefings, the nervous thrill of the first breath underwater.

Moderate—able to climb in/out of a boat, perform basic swimming tasks, and handle surface swims between dinghy and dive site.
The trip is run by PADI instructors and can accommodate certified divers; check operator options—introductory guided dives may be available for first-timers with in-water supervision.
Full scuba equipment rental, bottled water, soft drinks, fresh fruit, instructor guidance, and use of the speedboat with showers and a marine toilet are included.
Typical 5-hour day includes two dives at nearby sites such as Shark Point and Anemone Reef; exact sites depend on conditions and are confirmed by email.
