Capri and Sorrento have long been seaside retreats; Roman emperors and later Neapolitan fishermen shaped the islands’ mixed landscape of villas, terraces and maritime culture.
Many areas around Capri and the Sorrentine Peninsula lie within marine protected zones—avoid anchoring on seagrass beds, use reef-safe sunscreen and follow the crew’s guidance to minimize impact.
