About This Adventure

Duration

2 hours Time is to pump

About

  • This is our regular weekday evening paddle from The Boaters Inn, Canbury Gardens, Kingston. You will need your own board and buoyancy aid. We will decide where we shall go depending on the make up of the group.
  • Members are free, the fee for non-members is a booking fee only. It helps pay for the booking platform.

Please Note

You are responsible for your own safety on all club paddles and must self assess if you are competent to take part, including the ability to Self Rescue. Dittons Paddle Boarding only set the meeting time and place.

Parking

Please park responsibly in the local area. There is only street parking available at The Boaters Inn. Parking restrictions apply up to 6.30pm.

Toilets and Changing

The Boaters toilets are accessible through the pub. It would make them happy if you bought a beverage, by the way of a thank you!

Requirements

You should be able to swim, have a reasonable balance and a sense of adventure.

What to bring

  • Please wear quick drying clothing and bring a change of clothes and a towel.
  • A dry bag would also be a good idea as well and waterproof footwear.
  • Water and a snack.
  • 2 White lights. Head torches would be idea or small cycle lights.
  • No specialist clothing is required. In warm weather, ordinary gym gear will be fine (shorts/leggings/T-shirt/sweatshirt), with old sandals or trainers you don't mind getting wet. Or you can get cheap neoprene wet shoes from most large supermarkets.
  • In colder weather, a wetsuit or drysuit would be advisory.
  • Always bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case you go in during the paddle boarding session.
