The morning air in the Soča Valley bites with alpine cool as you wheel a rented bike toward the river. Gravel hums under tires and the Soča, a jade ribbon, dares you to follow its bends; if you choose an inflatable kayak, the current nudges you downstream with brisk insistence. This is self-guided exploration—12-hour rentals let you stitch together forest tracks, riverbanks, and short climbs on your own schedule.
