You stand at the base of Sunnegga as the valley exhales: cable cars hum, alpine air sharpens, and the Matterhorn glares like a carved peak daring you to look up. In a matter of minutes your pilot straps the harness, checks your lines, and the world tilts—Zermatt’s roofs, the braided glacier streams, and the ridgelines of 4000-meter peaks spread beneath you.
