Fog lifts off the rainforest as a guide clips harnesses and the first cable whispers under tension. From the platform you feel the canopy breathe — leaves stirring like a crowd — and the volcano to the west looms, an immovable presence framing the ride. Airtime’s course threads nine cables and ten platforms into secondary forest, offering short bursts of speed that feel impulsive rather than extreme, perfect for families and first-time flyers.

La Fortuna and Arenal lie on young volcanic terrain; repeated eruptive episodes in the latter 20th century altered local hydrology and settlement patterns, shaping today’s trails and viewpoints.
