A full day of backcountry skiing or snowboarding on over 3,000 acres of reserved terrain. Includes beacon use and professional guide service. An average day consists of 7 to 10 runs totaling over 11,000 vertical feet. Advanced reservations are required. Trips meet at the trailhead daily at 8 am and return around 5:30 pm.
Skiers and snowboarders need to be able to link turns in all snow conditions, including deep powder, wet snow, and crust. Backcountry skiing is quite different than skiing at a resort. In order to be safe and have fun skiing with us, one must be able to confidently ski down black to double black diamonds, off-piste, in all conditions.
Snowcat terrain includes deep powder, wet snow, and crust, so confidence on steep, varied snow is essential.
Trips start daily at 8 a.m. and run approximately 8 hours—plan to bring lunch and dress for changing weather.
Beacon, probe, and shovel use is included, but be sure you have avalanche knowledge or trust the guide’s expertise.
