Experience an exhilarating full day of backcountry skiing or snowboarding across 3,000 acres of untouched terrain. With expert guidance, tackle 7 to 10 thrilling runs and conquer over 11,000 vertical feet. This adventure is designed for advanced skiers and riders seeking the ultimate off-piste challenge in stunning natural surroundings.

About

A full day of backcountry skiing or snowboarding on over 3,000 acres of reserved terrain. Includes beacon use and professional guide service. An average day consists of 7 to 10 runs totaling over 11,000 vertical feet. Advanced reservations are required. Trips meet at the trailhead daily at 8 am and return around 5:30 pm.

Terrain

  • Our backcountry terrain consists of tree skiing, open bowls, and steep slopes and is best suited for advanced and expert skiers and riders.
  • All of our terrain is off-piste and not skier compacted, unlike ski resorts

Ski and Snowboard Ability Requirements

Skiers and snowboarders need to be able to link turns in all snow conditions, including deep powder, wet snow, and crust. Backcountry skiing is quite different than skiing at a resort. In order to be safe and have fun skiing with us, one must be able to confidently ski down black to double black diamonds, off-piste, in all conditions.

Be Prepared for Variable Snow Conditions

Snowcat terrain includes deep powder, wet snow, and crust, so confidence on steep, varied snow is essential.

Arrive Early for a Full Experience

Trips start daily at 8 a.m. and run approximately 8 hours—plan to bring lunch and dress for changing weather.

Use Proper Avalanche Safety Gear

Beacon, probe, and shovel use is included, but be sure you have avalanche knowledge or trust the guide’s expertise.

Physical Fitness Matters

You’ll need strong stamina and technical skill to manage multiple long runs in challenging backcountry terrain.
