About

Before reaching the snorkeling location, enjoy a stop to see the dolphins at the Moon Palace Dolphin Cove habitat. All ages are welcomed. Children ages 4 and under cannot participate in snorkeling, and they are included in the capacity count.

What is Snorkeling?

Snorkeling is swimming along the surface of the water and enjoying the underwater world equipped with a mask, a snorkel (a shaped breathing tube), and swim fins. Snorkeling does NOT require swimming experience, special training or strong physical effort.

Jamaica has some of the most diverse snorkeling experiences that the Caribbean has to offer. Not to mention, snorkeling in Ocho Rios. Snorkeling here is known for their vibrant coral reefs, thriving marine life, and crystal-clear azure blue waters. There are some shallow spots where you can take a break by standing on the ocean floor, it’s amazing!

What To Expect

This adventure starts inside the Ocho Rios Bay Marina. Our office is located to the left of the parking lot at the very end.

You'll be properly fitted with snorkel gear (or bring your own) including mask, snorkel and fins. All our reusable equipment is cleaned and sanitized after every use. No need for glasses! The masks are magnifiers and will help you see the reefs and fish clearly, the snorkel is a mouth piece used to breathe with when the face is submerged by water, and the swim fins are to move with less effort and more control.

Your guides will give you instructions and assist you with your snorkeling equipment. A life jacket is tied around your waist to allow you to float on top of the water.

Once in the water, the Lifeguard will remain by your side and guide you to the reefs. He will point out the reefs, fish, and other sea life like starfish and harmless sea urchins.

• Swimming experience is not required
• Children ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult
• All guests must sign a waiver form except for minors who will be signed for by an adult.

• Not safe for pregnant women in their third Trimester

• Not wheelchair accessible
• No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
