You’ll get clear views of Snæfellsjökull from several vantage points, but glacier access requires specialized equipment and longer hikes not included on this day tour.
Weather can change quickly — layered clothing, a windproof/waterproof outer layer, and waterproof footwear are recommended year-round.
The peninsula has long been a focus of fishing settlements and appears in Icelandic sagas; medieval routes and 19th-century fishing traditions shaped local communities.
Snæfellsjökull National Park protects fragile coastal and volcanic habitats; stay on marked paths and avoid disturbing nesting birds or fragile moss on lava.
